Solidarity

Solidarity

Neighbor-hood will mean making our neighbors’ needs our responsibility. As Abraham stood by his guests while they ate, so a ministry of neighbor-hood will require standing by our neighbors. Having become who our neighbors need us to be, we will stand in solidarity with their short-term and long-term needs. We will build and nurture relationships of solidarity with partner organizations like Lilburn Co-op and Family Promise as force multipliers, amplifying each other’s work to the good of those in need. This will mean changing as the need changes over time, growing together with our neighbors and our partners to listen for and follow the call of the Spirit among us. Solidarity is the invitation to live together so that all of us are one and there is no "other."
